 WHAT'S NEW IN NEW ORLEANS HOSPITALITY 2024

 Festival Season is Here

• 
  Jazz Fest consists of two four-day weekends with the Rolling Stones headlining the second weekend on Thursday, May 2 – Sunday, May 5. The full schedule is available here. 
  
• The Mid-City Bayou Boogaloo is back along the banks of Bayou St. John starting Friday May 17 – Sunday, May 19. There will be lots of live music, food vendors and craft tents to see. More information here. Visitors can enjoy the festival along the banks or bring a kayak or small inflatable raft or boat and hang out along the water.
• Bayou St. John is also the backdrop for the 49th annual New Orleans Greek Festival. The community of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral will host Greek Fest May 24,25 and 26. There will be lots of authentic Greek food and pastries, shopping, and entertainment.

 DIEZ REFERENTES ÉTNICOS HARÁN PARTE DE LA REPRESENTACIÓN DE LA CULTURA COLOMBIANA EN EL FESTIVAL DE JAZZ DE NEW ORLEANS

• Durante diez días New Orleans celebrara la cultura, gastronomía, artesanías y música de Colombia en un festival de jazz.
• El Programa Juntanza Étnica de USAID y ACDI/VOCA, promueve el orgullo por lo étnico y resalta los aportes del pueblo afrocolombiano y los pueblos indígenas en la construcción de la nación, en su triple acción: social, cultural y económico.

Este año el Festival de Jazz y la Herencia de New Orleans conmemora la diversidad cultural y el patrimonio, teniendo a  Colombia como país invitado. Es por ello que el Programa Juntanza Étnica de USAID y ACDI/VOCA, cumpliendo con su propósito de dar a conocer los aportes de los pueblos indígenas y el pueblo afrocolombiano en la construcción del país desde diferentes aristas, impulsa la participación de diez artesanos, luthiers y diseñadores que representaran el patrimonio cultural de las poblaciones étnicas colombianas.
