FLORIDA'S HISTORIC COAST LAUNCHES NEW HISPANIC WEBSITE, VIAJASTAUGUSTINE.COM

Each year travelers visit Florida's Historic Coast from all over the world. And with nearly 600 million Spanish speakers worldwide, the St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra & The Beaches Visitors and Convention Bureau (VCB) has launched a brand-new Hispanic microsite to make it easier for those visitors to learn about the area. “In addition to a large population of domestic Spanish speaking visitors, we also welcome visitors from many Spanish-speaking countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Spain, Argentina, Venezuela, and Peru,” explained Susan Phillips, President and Chief Executive Officer for St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra & The Beaches VCB. “Whether travelers are looking for a world-class culinary experience, want to explore our very unique history, or prefer to relax on 42 miles of pristine Atlantic beaches, we offer something for everyone, especially those looking to connect with our Spanish cultural heritage dating back to 1565.”

ViajaStAugustine.com features event listings, visitor information, and group travel details for everything from weddings and spiritual retreats to reunions and meetings. The site also offers extensive information about the destination's attractions, beaches, places to stay, golf, food and drink, live music, architecture, cultural heritage and more – all in Spanish, making it easier for the Hispanic community to access.

“With our area's tourism industry continuing to grow and our ability to reach new potential travelers from all over the world, being able to communicate our message effectively and accurately will help build awareness and tell the story of our important Spanish heritage at home and abroad,” said Phillips. “Creating a website in Spanish is just the beginning.”
