PHILADELPHIA SET TO HOST 2025 MICHELIN GUIDE NORTHEAST CITIES CEREMONY
MICHELIN Guide Ceremony will be the evening of November 18 where MICHELIN Stars and other award distinctions will be revealed. Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, New York City, and Washington, D.C. will be announced together in live ceremony.
“We are excited to honor and celebrate the talented culinary community of the Northeast Cities in the iconic city of Philadelphia, which is a shining example of hospitality,” said Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guide. “These five cities are home to a rich foundation of culinary history and culture that makes each city stand out for its unique talent and local flavors. Our anonymous Inspectors look forward to sharing their discoveries with the world, including spotlighting eateries in Boston and Philadelphia for the very first time.”
As the MICHELIN Guide continues to be committed to promoting the gastronomy players of tomorrow and the diversity of cuisines across its destinations, the Guide seeks to hold its annual ceremony in different cities each year. With a vibrant culinary heritage and a thriving community of homegrown talent, Philadelphia proved to be the perfect fit to host the 2025 MICHELIN Guide Northeast Cities Ceremony.
“Philadelphia’s culinary scene has been making waves on the global stage for a long time, and welcoming the MICHELIN Guide to our city is a milestone years in the making,” said Gregg Caren, president and CEO of the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Hosting the Northeast Cities Ceremony at the iconic Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts makes it all the more special, as we’ll see Philadelphia’s restaurants earn their first MICHELIN accolades right here in their own backyard.”
Chefs will be invited to discover whether their restaurants have received a MICHELIN Star or another MICHELIN Guide distinction. Attendance is by invitation only.
