- LGA is undergoing an $8 billion transformation to a single, structurally unified main terminal with better transportation access and first-class passenger amenities—the first complete rebuild of a US airport in over 25 years. In June 2022, Delta Air Lines opened the doors to the new Terminal C, featuring modern design elements, art installations by local New York artists, five baggage claim carousels and a new concourse with 10 gates. All remaining construction is slated for completion in 2024. LaGuardia Airport's Terminal B was aptly named the best new airport terminal in the world, based on a global customer survey by the international transport rating organization Skytrax.
