  NEW ATTRACTIONS, ACCOMMODATIONS, EVENTS, AND DINING EXPERIENCES IN GREATER PALM SPRINGS

Greater Palm Springs, CA - As the season blossoms in Greater Palm Springs, the nine-city destination welcomes a host of new attractions, accommodations, events, and dining options. Known for its stunning scenery, healing waters, cultural richness, and outdoor adventures, Greater Palm Springs offers visitors many unique experiences to discover in the oasis. 

Accommodations:

The iconic Dunes Hotel has been reborn in 2024 as The Dunes Palm Springs, a historic 127-room hotel in Downtown Palm Springs that combines its storied past with contemporary luxury.

Thompson Palm Springs, slated to open this fall, features 168 rooms and suites, two elevated pool decks, 8,000 sq. ft. of curated meeting and event space, and a breezy al fresco Mediterranean restaurant, Lola Rose.

Acres Landing in Desert Hot Springs offers 24 renovated vintage camping trailers. Above these sacred waters, a laid-back luxe mineral hot springs oasis has been created on a few acres, along with a versatile venue featuring reimagined vintage 'travel trailers' by esteemed makers of the auto camper eras such as Airstream, Streamline, Boles, Spartan, and Avion. amenities.

Tommy Bahama Miramonte Resort & Spa offers 215 guestrooms and villa suites spread across 11 acres. It features over 35,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor spaces, three pools and cabanas, dining at Grapefruit Basil, spa treatments at Spa Rosa, and exclusive Tommy Bahama merchandise at Rosa Boutique.

Dining:

Bravo's Top Chef Angelo Sosa is launching two new restaurants at Hyatt Regency Indian Wells: a second location of his Tía Carmen concept and Carmocha, a global small plates concept.

Indio Taphouse celebrates flavor and community with over 120 craft brews and hand-crafted cocktails.

Shorebird Restaurant at The Shops on El Paseo offers a modern take on classic Americana flavors.

Chef Gabriel Woo of Bar Cecil is re-imagining the culinary offerings at the Palm Springs Art Museum with his new restaurant, Livs Palm Springs.

The Skylark Hotel is launching Lost Property Restaurant & Bar, offering coastal American bar fare.

Attractions:

Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert will launch nearly 40 new hands-on exhibits over Memorial Day weekend. Specialty exhibits for the toddler and sensory-friendly areas will be installed in June, and these areas will be opened to the public in July.

Happy Alley in downtown Indio is one of the newest additions to the art oasis. Draped overhead, a canopy of colored umbrellas adds vibrancy to the north side of the alley. Down below, color continues down to the alley's walls, and a custom mural completes the north side, featuring iconic imagery of palm trees, a Ferris wheel, a classic car, and a hot air balloon.

The Palm Springs Surf Club is open, and the water slides, lazy river, and resort pool are fully operational. Amala offers breathtaking views of the surf and mountains, and its indoor and outdoor seating is available. Indulge in a curated artisanal menu by Chef Mondragon.  

Upcoming Events:

The Epson Tour Championship will be held at Indian Wells Golf Resort from October 3 to 6, 2024. The Epson Tour is the official qualifying tour of the LPGA Tour and enters its 39th competitive season in 2019. With the support of its umbrella partner, Epson, the Tour's mission is to prepare the world's best young women professional golfers for a successful career on the LPGA Tour.
